on the way home from the hospital with our second little miracle, a girl, a sweet little unexpectedly brown girl ~ brad turns to me and says "this is us... this is our team". i hold back my tears. because that's what new moms do. new moms to one or two or five kids. i laugh instead. i laugh because its funny and sweet and kind of sad at the same time.

i had wanted a little girl my whole life, and now i had one. to me a princess. to me an angel. to me the sweetest girl in the world.
I had a boy first. to me the sweetest boy in the world. to me he is amazing. he makes me happy and young. when his sister first arrived (new to the team), i needed him. needed him more than he needed me. he kept me busy he kept me laughing. he kept the new mom tears at bay. for that i appreciated him more than ever.
we are now heading into five months of this new team. its a team im proud of. its my biggest and best accomplishment. of course it couldn't be done without my better half. a boy turned husband turned dad. he's an amazing dad. hes only getting better. he has a baby girl that he's still getting to know. he has a boy that loves him with his whole heart. just two dudes, its what they say when they are headed outside or on a trip.
just two dudes couldn't be any cuter. just two dudes that mean the world to me.
I feel more in touch. more excited. more fulfilled as a person. i love this little family.
this is the start of something beautiful, this is the start of something new.
