like a small boat on the ocean, sending big waves into motion...

my wild child.
she's smart and funny and wild and really really bad way to often. she thinks she's far older than she is. she can bike and swing and dress herself.  she loves cats and ours is always mean to her.

she loves to explore the outdoors and could spend the entire day talking to herself.  her smile is infectious and her scowl is scary. she talks like a full grown adult and says things that make perfect sense.  she is left handed like her brother, not like her mom or dad.

she is sensitive and caring and today she is 3.

she will only wear tank tops and bathing suits. she is a hairdresser in the making and loves to color and paint and play in water.

when she is frustrated she yells "STOP IT" at the top of her lungs.  she says it with conviction + anger and it makes me nervous about the future.

she loves to dance and sing and taylor swift is her favorite. she makes up stories and scenarios and i really really feel like "fight song" is going to be her life theme song.

she is not the little girl i dreamed of, she is better.
happy birthday little fire ninja princess

double the fun, virgos rock part II

soon after my birthday (3 days) is the twins birthday, owen + torin.  two little dudes, that aren't so little anymore.  two dudes that are tall and smart and handsome.  two dudes that couldn't possibly be, at all, any better of kids.

they love each other hard.  unconditionally have each others back. they make twins look like the rest of us are really missing out. they are funny and athletic.  they love to do their hair, perfectly and precisely. they are pretty much professional soccer players. with their birthday money they wanted to complete their "Axe" collection.  they are no fun to play sports with.  they argue their point until you give in because you can't take it anymore, x2. when owen laughs its more like a high pitch squeal that partially makes you cover your ears and partially makes you laugh.

that crazy day when two boys rocked the mcculloch / pavlick world... it was love at first sight.  i had an instant connection to owen... its not something i can explain, it was a feeling, something about him made me want to cuddle him up.  as time went on it became apparent to me that owen was most like brad of all the mcculloch kids. in a good way. not in the brad was a really bratty stinker kinda way.  owen, out of the group would be more content missing school.  he plays sports & he's good at them, but he's not an overachiever.  he's more carefree.  content in his choices, not trying to make choices to please.  he's a lot like his uncle boog. it boggles my mind a bit that from minutes old i could feel that about him.

although this may sound like i'm only an owen lover, i am not.  initially i spent a lot of time cuddling owen, and maybe missed out on some of tor tor.  but, i remember clear as day.  a river trip.  with just the kids and grandparents.  torin was left out of the gang.  left to fend for himself.  three's a crowd kind of deal.  i felt for torin.  he didn't complain, didn't cry, didn't tattle.  he quietly just did his own thing. it made me so sad.  i just wanted to cuddle him up. i became team tor tor.  sense then i have watched torins personality grow in to this totally funny and when you know him well, outgoing dude.  he says things that make you laugh, without trying.  he loves pink and could care less if thats not very "boy" like.  he is the best at hairstyling.  he likes songs and doesn't mind singing them out loud.  he is passionate and athletic.  he cares and loves with his whole heart. he is a gentle boy, with kindness radiating thru him. sweet and caring and giving and just all to much
like his momma.

their big #10 was spent in true mcculloch / pavlick fashion... at the beach.  we swam in the warmest water ever. boogie boarded endlessly.  walked about 9999999999 million stairs.  ate ice cream and donuts and bull taco.  played soccer on the beach and watched the  most beautiful sunsets ever.  the boys took lots of showers, because they love beach showers.  and ate the biggest pieces of watermelon ever, courtesy of papa.  played cards and ping pong.  skipped school and rested and walked and enjoyed life.

really just enjoyed life.

grandma and papa even got in on the action

we sang happy birthday to our two sweeter than life boys

owen had a little harder time blowing out all his candles..

happy birthday o+t.
