although we live in jamul, jenner is going to school in la mesa. a 30 minute drive thru the winding road, up and over a mtn and into the city. we have to be out of the door by 7:30 which i have yet to do with kids. even while working i could mostly only manage being out the door by 8am at best.
I'm a lolly gagger, a slow mover, i get easily sidetracked with dishes or clean up... using up every single minute in the entire morning and then rushing out the door a minute later than planned, even though we had been ready for 20 mins. its how i roll. it drives my husband nuts. like literally nuts... he paces the hallways, honks horns and sometimes cusses at me. he has yet to leave me behind, although I'm sure i have told him to.
jenner is in mrs. cliftons class, and by some miracle we happen to know her. knowing your kids teacher is a real catch. while its so great to know who your kid is spending so much time with, and you can text or call her at any moment and volunteering in the class will be so fun... it also gives her total insight into what a mess i am. how often we are late or messy hair'ed, unbrushed teeth forgotten lunches and all things that can go wrong when rushing out the door. all jokes aside we are excited for our new school, new teacher and new friends.
