{a homework setup any gal would l.o.v.e}

its just about back to school time and i am currently working on a desk space for one of my favorite gals.  first and foremost i am on a budget! that means bargain shopping at my favorite place... target.  the beautiful thing about target is...

1.) if you have a red card (which you should... run don't walk to target and get one if you don't!) everything ships free.

2.) its risk free purchasing considering its free shipping and you can return any unwanted items to your local store...

3.) target is great because of the fairly low prices... it may not be potterybarn quality but for kids, well they ruin stuff... and why spend a small fortune furniture thats going to get ruined.

{target should be paying me for this post, but their not... i really just love target that much}

i like to mix and match quality items with lesser quality items... like a nice pillow on an inexpensive chair.  I also think in this case lamps will make the space... pairing a simple desk with a beautiful lamp and a few accessories will pull it all together.

changing out hardware will allow you to give the desk a more personal style and dress it up a bit.  my favorite place to get knobs is at anthropologie (i only buy them on sale, if you check in periodically the knobs you love will eventually be marked down, just be patient)...

below i paired some desk.lamp.chair combos along with a few accessories like pillows, books, baskets, vases and my favorite... a globe.  (keep scrolling for links to all items)
